Cadillac Planning on "Big Halo" Sedan

During an interview at the Paris Auto Show, Ed Welburn, General Motors Co.’s chief designer talked about Cadillac’s future strategies, and based on him those ideas involve a fresh "big halo" sedan, other than the XTS.

"Right now they've mixed feelings about Cadillac, but they see the possible. There is a real opportunity for Cadillac to rightfully be considered the normal of the world once again with the work that we are carrying out in design and engineering and the technologies that we will probably be bringing to market."

Cadillac will convey the XTS later subsequent year. It's going to share a front-wheel-drive car architecture with all the Buick LaCrosse and Regal sedans. Right after it Cadillac will deliver the ATS, a rear-wheel-drive model placed beneath the CTS.

But this just isn't all. The firm has also options for a brand new sedan, larger than the XTS and priced to compete with the BMW 7-series and Mercedes-Benz S-class sedans, that’s somewhere within the $75k region.
